Among them, R-PET non-woven fabric, as a new type of environmentally friendly fabric, is attracting widespread attention worldwide with its unique performance and wide application prospects.
R-PET non-woven fabric, full name Recycled PET Nonwoven Fabric, is a non-woven fabric made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material. PET materials usually come from discarded plastic containers such as mineral water bottles and coke bottles. After a series of processes such as recycling, cleaning, melting, spinning, etc., they are finally made into R-PET non-woven fabric. This fabric not only has the breathability, softness, corrosion resistance and water resistance of traditional non-woven fabrics, but also has significant environmental advantages due to the recyclability of its raw materials.
The characteristics of R-PET non-woven fabric are that it is durable, non-deformed, and resembles textiles. At the same time, it also has the health care performance of promoting blood circulation, and the characteristics of being easily processed into functional products, such as waterproof, mildew-proof, deodorant, anti-static, etc. R-PET non-woven fabric does not contain harmful substances such as azo and heavy metals. It is resistant to high temperature, acid and alkali, has strong water absorption, and fully meets the requirements of environmental protection and harmlessness.
The production process of R-PET non-woven fabric mainly includes four steps: raw material recovery, melt spinning, non-woven fabric forming and subsequent processing. The recycled PET material is washed and melted to obtain molten PET fiber. Then, the molten fiber is made into continuous filaments or staple fibers through a spinning process. Next, the fiber mesh layer is woven into a non-woven fabric using non-woven fabric forming technology such as spunbond, wet or dry. Finally, the non-woven fabric is subjected to subsequent treatments such as heat treatment, stretching, calendering, etc. to improve its strength and stability.
The wide application of R-PET non-woven fabric is another highlight. Due to its environmental protection, durability and easy processing characteristics, R-PET non-woven fabric is widely used in environmentally friendly shopping bags, safety gear product linings, medical protection product fabrics and other fields. In addition, it can also be used in home decoration, agricultural covering, industrial lining, automotive interior and many other aspects. In the clothing industry, R-PET non-woven fabrics are also used to make antibacterial maternity wear, T-shirts, children's wear, etc., meeting the needs of different consumers.
The application of R-PET non-woven fabrics not only reduces the pollution of waste plastics to the environment, but also saves oil resources. Every ton of R-PET non-woven fabrics used can save 6 tons of oil, reduce carbon emissions by 25.2 grams, save 0.52 cubic centimeters of oil, and save 88.6 cubic centimeters of water. The raw material recycling and reuse process of R-PET non-woven fabrics also complies with the internationally accepted recycling standard (GRS) and the authoritative certification of the US SCS Environmental Protection Agency, and its international recognition is extremely high.
